G Hari Babu, President of the National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), addressing the ETNOW.in Realty Conclave and Awards on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, discussed the trends in affordable housing and real estate in India. He also said that the government should introduce incentives/subsidies for housing units so that the common man can afford a house. Advocating for a redefinition of affordable housing in the country, G Hari Babu said, “In the last five years, we are seeing everybody is talking about affordable housing. Eight-nine years back, it was housing for all and from there to affordable housing for all. From there again, we added one more thing - sustainable affordable housing for all and later, it was added - sustainable happy affordable housing for all. We are adding affordable housing to so many things but what is the reality?"
