Chennai's real estate market is undergoing a sea change as plotted development surges in popularity. Abandoned industrial campuses and joint-family properties are being reimagined as modern, amenity-rich plotted communities.
In suburban Ambattur, a sprawling 68-acre defunct industrial campus has been transformed into a plotted space. In Wimco Nagar, a 19-acre former factory site has followed suit. In north and west Chennai too, a new trend has caught up as large, joint-family properties are divided into plots, allowing relatives to live close to one another in cohesive communities.
